90-Day Creative Project Plan

A 90-day plan is long enough to make meaningful progress and short enough to force clear priorities. Use it to move a project from idea to execution without treating every task as equally urgent.

Days 1–30: Define and prepare

  • Lock the project goal, audience, scope, and success measures.

  • Build the working budget and identify the funding gap.

  • Confirm the team, partners, vendors, and approvals you need.

  • Create the production timeline and fundraising plan.

  • Prepare reusable project language, visuals, and outreach materials.

Days 31–60: Build and activate

  • Produce the core work.

  • Confirm logistics and partnership responsibilities.

  • Begin audience outreach and content.

  • Track budget versus actual spending.

  • Resolve risks before they become launch-day emergencies.

Days 61–90: Deliver and document

  • Launch or deliver the project.

  • Collect participation and outcome data.

  • Capture photography, video, testimonials, and press.

  • Pay partners and close outstanding expenses.

  • Complete follow-up and reporting.

  • Document what should be repeated, changed, or stopped next time.

End with the next decision

A project is more valuable when the documentation helps you build the next one. Your 90-day closeout should leave you with evidence, relationships, reusable materials, and a clear next step.
